History of Immanuel Bible ChurchIn the spring of 1964, members of Calvary Baptist Church of Alexandria and Faith Baptist Church of Vienna met to discuss the need for a mission in the rapidly growing area of Springfield, Virginia. Sixteen families met during summer and in August, they met for the first time in Robert E. Lee High School as Immanuel Baptist Church, drafting a declaration and constitution. Forty-two founding members signed it.

The Beginning of an Hispanic MinistryPastor John Malone and his wife, Joanne ("Juanita") joined Immanuel after serving as missionaries in Ecuador for many years. Pastor John was named Pastor of Missions and Outreach in November 1986.
The couple began a monthly dinner with Spanish-speaking people who attended Immanuel with the vision to reach the Hispanic community. After three months, they met with three other couples with whom they formed an organizing body for the organization of the group. |
Hispanic Ministry Gets PastorIn 2007, the Immanuel Bible Church congregation voted, naming Juan Ancalle as first Pastor of Hispanic Ministries.
